Boatshed Dartmouth are delighted to offer for sale a truly well maintained Oysterman 16. The original prototype of the Oysterman 16 was ‘Marie Louse’ (now owned by Mike Lucas of Mike Lucas Yachting). This original version was an open boat with the mast set further aft than subsequent boats. The production boats were designed with a deck-coachroof to offer a useful and snug cabin and production started in 1979. The first five boats were built by Barcreek Yacht Station in Malpas, Truro until Riverside Products in Penryn took over and built the next 12 Oysterman 16’s. Many Oysterman’s were sloop rigged but the boat looks much better cutter rigged (as this one is). I have been most impressed by this classic looking 16 footer – the current owners have lavished attention and care on her in heaps. Without doubt she is a most enjoyable boat to sail, with a good sized cockpit and plenty of room in the most useful cabin. I have a file full of notes, reviews, original brochure, receipts and more to handover to her new owner. Viewings are by appointment please with Boatshed Dartmouth broker, Paul Singer
