The Ambassador Role
As a Boatshed Ambassador, you will hold a unique role within our organisation. This position is designed for individuals with significant experience and a strong network in the boating industry. Ambassadors will have a dedicated profile page on the main Boatshed website, showcasing their experience and why they choose to work with Boatshed.

We are seeking a limited number of Ambassadors, both from the industry generally and internally from our successful brokers, to take on this important role.

Working with the Best
As an Ambassador, you will work alongside the business development team. You will have access to all the tools and experience necessary to excel in your role. Your primary responsibility will be to bring successful people into the organisation, ensuring we continue to grow and succeed.

Developing New Commercial Models
In addition to the traditional responsibilities, Ambassadors will be involved in developing new commercial models, including a new licence model for third-party brokers and FSBO (For Sale By Owner). Boatshed aims to leverage its 25 years of experience, extensive data, and the sale of 30,000 boats to capture not just potential boats from Boatshed brokers but also to open up the platform to other brokers and companies selling new boats.

Our vision is to become the "Amazon for Boats," guiding our principle of opening up the platform beyond just Boatshed brokers. While any expansion will respect existing exclusive territories where our brokers have these rights, there are thousands of areas where Boatshed currently has no coverage. This new initiative will open the platform up to list thousands more boats for sale. More boats are like fuel to Boatshed, and our focus solely on listings so far has shown the immense potential of this approach.

Boatshed’s unique commission-only model sets our platform apart from traditional marine websites that charge upfront fees for brokers or boat sellers, such as Yachtworld and Boatshop24. These traditional websites have become increasingly expensive, offering little in the way of tools and processes for selling boats. Costs to dealers, brokers, and sellers have skyrocketed without any significant investment in new tools such as data analysis, contracts, media including video, VR, audio, etc.

Boatshed continues to develop these tools, and our platform outperforms anything in the boat sales space. Plus, it is a success-only offering—if Boatshed doesn’t sell, it doesn’t cost. This will really shortcut the photo inventory process and means anyone can get the photos and videos that Boatshed requires for its platform. Each photo is specific and is the main reason for Boatshed's success, as every boat is listed in the same way. The app now manages this part of the process, which is critical to Boatshed’s traffic and engagement levels.
