Making Life Easier – QR Codes at Boatshed Dartmouth

We all lead busy lives so anything that makes things quicker or easier is welcome to any of us as consumers. Our number one objective at Boatshed Dartmouth is to make both the buying and selling of a boat as painless and effortless as possible for both purchaser and vendor. The Boatshed website is designed to make searching for boats quick and easy and then provide highly detailed information and photographs of each and every boat for sale. Useful tools on the Boatshed website include BoatFinder which will automatically email alerts to registered Boatshed customers when boats matching their specific criteria are listed by any of the 50+ Boatshed brokerage offices. You can find BoatFinder in the top menu bar when logged in.

Now Boatshed Dartmouth are pleased to announce that they are going one step further with the inclusion of QR codes on all printed material used in window displays and handouts. You may have seen these strange pixelated squares appearing on adverts in newspapers and magazines and wondered what they can do. Well with smart phones now taking the number one slot with many users (Apple sold 4 million iPhone 4S in just three days after launch) and a little free App like Tap Media’s QR Reader or Kaywa Reader (both available from the App Store) users can quickly scan a QR code and be taken directly to full boat details on the internet, add a contact with phone and SMS details or even download some specific text information. The days of having to find a pen and pencil to jot down a phone number or web address are now confined to history.

Our window and office display at Baltic Wharf now features QR Codes on all new boats listed as well as all boats advertised at our MDL Dartside Quay sales board and we welcome feedback from our customers for how we can improve our service even more.
