Broker's Comments
This looks a tidy example of this popular marque. It has been regularly sailed by the current owner who has looked after it well. It looks very smart indeed.
Moody boats are renowned for their solidity and seaworthiness.
The engine started easily. The interior is clean and the exterior looks nearly new. It belies its age of 40 years. It seems to have all the navigation instruments to take on UK waters and beyond.
A new owner may want to refurbish or replace the sprayhood and maybe revarnish the washboards, but these seem quite serviceable as they are.
The last survey was in 2006 so we would always advise one before buying a boat of this age. The owner had a professional appraisal of the standing rigging in Dec 2022 and is happy to share it with interested potential buyers.
It could be an excellent yacht for somebody taking up sailing and then moving up to a larger boat which the current owner intends to do.
