Broker's Comments
The Rival 32 is a solid traditional cruiser, with longish fin keel and skeg hung rudder. The Rival 31, 32 and 34 are very similar, all being very well respected as seagoing cruisers. Many Rivals have made long ocean passages including the 32.
Her high, full bow makes her dry and sea kindly and the long fin keel and substantial skeg give her good manners under sail.
There is an active Rival Owners Association.
This example has been in the same ownership since 2000 with many crossings to France. She has clearly been looked after and upgraded over the years.
She benefits from a stripped back hull which was professionally re-epoxied in 2005 and found in good order in her last Survey in 2011
This is a Yacht that will be an ideal purchase for a family or crew who wish to sail in a safe and spacious design without spending a great deal of money on a newer vessel. Having just been serviced, sails refurbished and anti-fouled she is ready to sail away, and if looked after will remain a solid investment.
